As Kaede scrambled about, her daggers sinking in the golden sand, she sighed. She wanted to be in the protection of her dam. She knew she shouldn't dwell on this, but it felt akward without them. She winced as she looked at the sun. It was very bright, and she felt like a vampire. She quickly looked down and the foundation and closed her twin pools.
"Agh!" Kaede complained.
She was not use to this sun yet. She shook her crania rapidly for a short while. She settled and neighed slightly. So slightly she could barely hear herself.
She was not sure if she should join a herd or not. She felt as though she could take care of herself alone, but the other part of her thought she was still too young. She opened her optics as she tumbled a bit on the sand. When she got her balance back she started to paw at the ground. As she hit cooler ground, she layed on the cool sand. It made her feel better, but she was still hot. Her bodice glistened with sweat but she did not mind. She looked around and sighed. She did not know if she wanted to stay. She saw the beauty in this desert. It was a gorgeous golden array of color, and the bright blue sky just looked like a painting. She thought it looked like it was not real.
